We're wearing PINK this October
Posted on October 02 2015
What is your colour for October? Ours is PINK and here is why...
With the glorious sunshine we've had this week, it seems even more unbelievable that October has begun! But this post is about October and how it's an important month in sharing and creating awareness for breast cancer.
I'm not here to patronise my readers, or tell them the things they already know. Chances are you've either been directly affected or have a loved one who has been affected by this awful disease. Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK affecting 55,000 people every year.
But the benefit of living in the UK means that those affected have access to some of the very best care. We have an intricate support network here that has made detection, treatment and survival after diagnosis so much more successful. But the need for research into prevention and treatment is ever more important, as around 1,000 women in the UK still die from breast cancer.
For the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness month, all of our products will be wearing the pink ribbon. We're pledging 5% of ALL our sales to a wonderful charity - Against Breast Cancer.
"Against Breast Cancer is a charity dedicated to funding ground-breaking research to improve detection, treatment and increase survival after breast cancer diagnosis"
We feel extremely privileged to have the opportunity to partner with such a wonderful charity so early in our brand life - and really hope that soapNskin and our customers are able to make a worthwhile contribution to their work.
The success of this would not be possible without some amazing people out there - who have helped our small brand achieve this.
Special thanks to
